2019 Disney World promotions for Canadians

Now that the new year has come, you may be thinking of heading down to Orlando to visit the most magical place in the world. We just came back from our latest trip in December and had a blast….the new Pandora – World of Avatar in Animal Kingdom is immersive and will take your breath away… and the new Toy Story Land in Hollywood Studios features two new attractions that were very kid-friendly to our boys.

If you are planning on taking a Disney vacation between now and the end of September, Walt Disney World (WDW) is currently offering two great promotions to help you save some money (which is much appreciated, given our slumping Canadian dollar).

The most recent promotion that came out was Free Dining. Stay at least 4 nights on-site and upgrade to a park hopper ticket and you’ll be given the famous Disney dining plan for free (either Quick Service dining plan for select Value and Moderate resorts or Table Service dining plan for select Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts). You need to book by Feb. 10, 2019 and there is limited availability. If you already have a reservation, you can call Disney to see if they apply the promotion for you. If you cannot get your desired reservation (resort and dates), don’t give up! Keep trying to search online (every day, several times as day if you can) and there is a good chance that someone will cancel their reservation and open it up for you to take! Click here for more info.

There is a also a Canadian Resident discounted ticket offer that has been out for awhile but is still available to purchase before March 15, 2019. With this offer, Canadian residents can purchase an adult 4-day base theme park ticket for as low as $316 USD plus tax—that’s just $79 USD per day, plus tax. Upgrades to a Park Hopper Option are also available. These must be used before September 27, 2019. You will need to show your passports to Guest Services to activate your tickets before you will be allowed to enter the parks. Don’t worry, you can still link your tickets to My Disney Experience to book your FastPasses.  Note that these cannot be combined with the Free Dining promotion. Click here for more info.

There are also room discounts up to 30% at select WDW resorts for stays between now and until the end of September 30th. You can also get the latest information on these discounts on the WDW promotion page. These work great when combined with the Canadian resident ticket offer above.  However, you cannot apply this discount to a Free Dining promotion.

I hope this is helpful and happy planning everyone!
